What does it cost?

Before we look at how much it cost's lets take a look at how much you can potentially earn as a Kirstys Horses horse sitter.

The beauty of Kirstys Horses is that it allows you to deliver a much-needed service to the equestrian community.

Remember, there are over 1.35 million horses across the UK who all need looking after every single day (BETA 2006)

With Kirstys Horses you earn each time you care for a clients horse. The rate charged depends upon where you are in the country, however on average we recommend you charge £17.50 per hour. Please note there will be deductions to come out of your earnings to cover the services we provide. To find out what the services are and what the deductions are please contact us.

What can you earn as a Kirstys Horses franchisee?

Consider the following…

  • How many hours are you going to work?
  • Can you provide care at the weekends?
  • Is this your only job or are you totally flexible?
  • Do you mind the type of horse/client you provide care for?
  • Are you going to employ staff?

We understand that you will want to work the hours that suit you as this is a huge attraction of running your own business.

Obviously the amount you earn will depend on the number of hours you work, and whether you have anyone working for you.

All earnings discussed on this page are for illustrative purposes only and are built on very basic assumptions but they reflect the earning potential that could be possible from operating Kirstys Horses. We make no guarantees as to what revenue you will generate as this will be based on the time you have available, how hard you work on your business and your own ability.

For example:

Lets say you provided care for 2 hours a day every day for a month...

2 hours x 17.50 x 28 (days in a month) = £980 revenue

Let us imagine for a second that you sign up 3 clients all wanting 2 hours care every day. What would this figure look like then?

Horses are a full time responsibility they need looking after all the time. On average horse owners spend 1 - 2 hours with their horse every single day. What happens when they are not available? Who do they use?

For example:

  • 40 hours a week
  • 30 of those hours you are horse sitting, deducting marketing time, meeting new clients etc
  • How much revenue would you generate in a month?
  • Answer - £2100 all on your own! (We deduct a small charge for processing payments of 7%, there are also other deductions based on how you run your company therefore please contact us to find out what they are)

The time might come when you reach full capacity. If this happens don't worry as you can always employ someone who can provide the care when you can't.

We recommend paying anyone you take on half of what you charge.

How much you earn will come down to how much time you have available and how hard you work.

This really is a fantastic opportunity, and can be moulded to suit all lifestyles, the more hours you put in the more you can earn, it really is that simple!

We make no guarantees as to what revenue you will generate as this will be based on the time you have available, how hard you work on your business and your own ability.
