Let me introduce myself, I am Kirsty, the founder of Kirstys Horses. I have worked and owned horses all my life. Before I started a family I have previously provided a horse sitting service.

In 2006 my life changed massively as I started a family meaning my focus towards my career changed drastically as the emphasis shifted towards my children.

If you are a Mum or Dad I am sure you know exactly what I mean…..having children certainly changes your life!!

Being a new Mum I had to find someone to look after my horses as I just didn't have the time anymore. Not to mention I was exhausted from all the sleepless nights...

I needed someone to care for my horses when I couldn't.

It was extremely difficult finding someone who was flexible, reliable, trustworthy and most importantly someone who cared for my horses like they were their own!

As time passed and juggling life became a little easier, I wanted to start earning again. I've always been independent and I needed to start contributing.

I didin't want to return to a normal job, working long hours and only doing it to pay the bills! I wanted to do something on my own that gave me the flexibility to work when I wanted.

One morning when dropping my daughter off at Nursery it hit me! What I needed to do was return to Horse Sitting, I had done this previously and the demand had been phenomenally high. The only reason I stopped was because I moved away from the area I was providing the service.  I was fully aware that the need for a professional horse sitting service was still at an all time high, as I myself struggled to find someone to look after my horses when I started a family.

I set about carrying out research and realised the demand and need for a horse sitting service is still there.

I was so excited about having the opportunity to work with horse again I was like a little kid in a sweet shop!

Working with horses is everyone's dream. Then life takes over and your dreams become a long distant memory. Well now they don't need to as Kirstys Horses allows you to fullfill your dreams and earn a great income working with the animals you love.

Since launching in 2007 we now have clients all over the UK all using our fantatsic horse sitting service. We are looking for equestrian people with a real love of horses to join our growing team of horse sitters.
